Ko-ni-chi-wa hitobito!
I have now been in the MTC for 5 weeks! And I really do love it! I have been learning at a rate that I never thought was possible but it is pushing me to become better and to trust the Lord. I have learned so much Japanese these first few weeks and sometimes my head hurts but when I think about why I am here and who's work I am doing, it puts things into perspective. Life in the MTC is wierd because I am so close to home yet so far away. I thought that I might go a little crazy living in this little bubble off 9th east but it hasn't been that bad. As long as I keep myself busy with important, meaningful activities my days go by quickly and the weeks fly by. My companion is awesome and we have had some good times here. Oh and the speakers I have heard here have been amazing! The spirit in the MTC is like no where else and I love it. It's always a good feeling and everyone, well for the most part, it happy to be here too. I am very lucky to be going on a mission and I feel very blessed to have the support of my family and friends. I love this work and I love the Lord. I know that he loves all his children and as an instrument in his hands I am the one to do that work. If we have faith and trust in Him, than we can do all things. Love you all and thanks for your support!
Love Ige Shimai
